On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for an IT Outsourcing Manager with in-depth knowledge of IT Outsourcing Management in the banking industry. Main responsibilities:

(50%, reporting to Head IT Risk Management):

Evaluation & Implementation

  • Support and contribute to the documentation of the specific outsourcing requests
  • Prepare the processing of the outsourcing requests including approval for the outsourcing committee meetings and respective outsourcing discussions in close collaboration with the responsible outsourcing coordinator
  • Prepare and execute the annual re‐assessment of the registered outsourcing activities and prepare update for the outsourcing committee in close collaboration with the responsible outsourcing coordinator
  • Monitoring and reporting

(50%, reporting to Head IT Operations):

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Define/review standard set of requirements for generic outsourcing contracts which are compliant with the regulatory requirements
  • Define additional requirements for contracts where standard set of requirements might not be sufficient
  • Define process to control the outsourcing providers based on the agreed set of requirements in line with the regulatory requirements
  • Define periodic reporting which has to be requested from the outsourcing providers and which is compliant with the relevant regulatory requirements (e.g. FINMA, MAS, HKMA, CSSF, etc.)
  • Provide dashboard of outsourced IT services with their compliance/maturity
  • Handover of defined standards, processes, control, reports, etc. to the run organisation

The skills and experience needed for these positions are:

  • Over seven years of experience as an IT Risk consultant within a large, complex, and international environment, with a focus on Outsourcing
  • Extensive experience and excellent understanding and practical experience in IT Risk & Outsourcing Management
  • Solid banking knowledge
  • Team oriented, self-directed, responsible and motivated personality
  • Fast comprehension, open minded with an analytical approach
  • Capability to achieve high quality and quantity work results even under time pressure
  • Having a true consultant mind-set and attitude, always serving the customer, in the most effective and efficient way, considering adequately the risks and risk mitigation strategy involved
  • Very good language skills in German and English
