One of our clients, a leading Medical Devices company, is looking for a Project Manager to join their team for a 7-month contract in Solothurn, Switzerland

Job summary

Your role is to coordinate and support the Supply Chain activities within the assigned NPD (New Product Development) Projects. This includes project planning, estimating, execution, implementation and on-going support. You will work closely with the cross functional Teams to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the solution deployed in support of the business goals and objectives

Your tasks & responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule and track project timelines, costs and risks using appropriate tools.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
  • Lead the cross functional Supply Chain project team and manage the execution of the project plan using appropriate tools.
  • Provides direction to project resources, monitors efforts, assembles key project deliverables and identifies issues and risks requiring escalation when reporting project status.
  • Schedules and facilitates project status meetings and advises management on project status, risk and mitigation including executive reporting. Facilitates problem resolution
  • Communicates project implementation options, schedule, quality and risk to stakeholders, as well as offer recommendations based on these elements.
  • Use expert communication and leadership skills to establish a common understanding of the project timelines, milestones and expectations on delivery.
  • Know and follow all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance

What you must have

  • Fluent English
  • 3+ years' experience with project management tools, e.g., MS Project
  • 2-3 years of experience in European Medical device industry
  • Proven exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor's (minimum 3 years' experience) or Master's (minimum 2 year of experience) Degree
  • Strong knowledge and skills in MS Office & MS Project
  • Familiarity with Technical Documentation structure
  • Must be highly organized, creative, articulate and analytical
  • Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills
  • Ability to multi-task independently with minimal supervision
  • Must have solid understanding of project management methodologies
  • Able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision
  • Quick learner, motivated self-starter
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills
  • Able to cope with internal guidelines change management
  • Some flexibility in working hours

What is nice to have

  • Good level of German
  • Familiarity with PLM Systems Agile/Windchill preferred
  • Certificates in Program/Project Management
